What is the relevé 31 and how do I ask my landlord for it?

✓ Verified answer Written from official pages, with checked citations and a verification date.

General information, not tax advice. The relevé 31 (Relevé 31) is a document your landlord fills out to report information on the occupancy of your dwelling on December 31. If you are a tenant or subtenant of an eligible dwelling, you need it to claim the housing component of the solidarity tax credit. Your landlord must give it to you by February 28: if they have not, ask them for it. If you own your home yourself, you need your municipal tax bill instead.
